Hello Grade Fours!
Have you ever wondered what kinds of things I, Miss Sybblis, like to do outside of school? Here are a few links to some of my favourite things!
IMDB- Internet Movie Database- I absolutely love to watch movies and television. Some of my favourite movies are Titanic, Armageddon, Step Mom and Grease. Some of the best TV shows (in my opinion!) are Grey's Anatomy, Parenthood and Dancing with the Stars! The great thing about IMDB is that it offers me facts and trivia about all of these things. It allows me to find out who the stars were in it, who produced it, what other things the stars are in and random trivia about the movies, television shows and celebrities.
HPL- Hamilton Public Library- As a teacher, I am passionate about literacy. Outside of class, I love to get involved with literacy as well. Reading is one of my favourite things to do. I love all kinds of books- historical, biography, mysteries- anything!
NHL- I also love hockey! I am very sad that hockey is on a lock out right now. My favourite team is the Toronto Maple Leafs! Go Leafs go!

A Great Resource For You!
Hello Friends!
Wikipedia is an excellent resource for you to use. It has tons of information on just about anything you can imagine! It is perfect for research projects, but also can answer questions that you may have about pretty much anything. I use Wikipedia almost daily- I didn't realize how much I used it until the day the website was down. Boy, did I miss it then! I always count on Wikipedia to answer my questions and provide further understanding for things I've learned about in class, from watching the news, or even heard about on the bus. The excellent thing about Wikipedia is that it offers pages in a huge variety of languages. So if you are an English Language Learner, you might find it better to read the page in your native language. Be sure to check out this page! It is a great resource for you!
